Fern A. Dean

Dean, Fern A., 73, Mount Union, passed away Thursday November 16, 2023. Born September 9, 1950, Huntingdon, son of the late Ralp J. and Violet I. (Rinker) Dean. Preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Booher) Dean; and siblings, Ronald J. Dean and Loraine Dean. Survived by children, Shilo Dean Drake and husband, Mark; Nakuma J. Dean; Donald Keiser and wife, Suzanne; and Tracey Heffner and husband, Carl; 7 grandchildren, Nakita Haun, Kiowa James Brown, Carl Heffner Jr., Gregory Keiser, Bethany Keiser, Sarih Keiser, and Rebbecca Ann Isenberg; 6 great grandchildren, Izrael, Azariah, Eli, Eric, Ella, and Alex. Mr. Dean worked at the brickyard in Mount Union and was also known for his painting business which served all of Huntingdon County. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and liked watching movies and WWE Wrestling. Mr. Dean loved to take his walks through town and loved taking trips and car rides with his niece, Nechol and family. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends—especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his giving nature and ability to make everyone laugh. Family and friends will be received on Friday November 24, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday November 25, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home, Pastor Greg Harven, officiant.
