Evelyn I. Brown

Evelyn I. (Goshorn) Brown, 100, formerly of Mount Union, passed away April 22, 2022, at Laurel Lakes Nursing Center, Chambersburg. Born December 12, 1921, in Shade Valley, she was the daughter of the late Charles Earl and Mary Belle (Parson) Goshorn. Survived by her children, Charles Brown (Carolyn) of OK; daughters-in-law, Margaret Brown of AR and Donna Brown of Chambersburg; 10 grandchildren, Casey (Tammy) Brown of AR; Robert (Melissa) Brown of AR; MaryAnne (Wes) Mabry of AR; Lemar Brown of OK; Amy Morgan of OK; Ginny (Bobby) Rucker of OK;  Leta Morales (Christian Brushie) of Chambersburg; Lynette Giovinco (Ryan) of Phoenixville; AnnMarie Laban of Harrisburg; David Laban (Christine) of Chambersburg; 30 Great Grandchildren; 22 Great-Great Grandchildren; sibling Jerry Goshorn (Marian) of Blacklog Valley; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Brown of Mount Union; sons, William David Brown of AR; Dennis Brown of Chambersburg; two infant daughters Mary and Delphia; sibling’s Donald Goshorn, Dale Goshorn, Thomas Goshorn, Joseph Goshorn, Edna Goshorn, Mae Goshorn. Evelyn spent her life as a homemaker and caring for others as a daughter, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed family reunions, visiting with friends, writing letters, word search puzzles, crafting and crocheting, her flower garden, and most of all reading her Bible and taking fellowship with church friends. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mount Union Cemetery.
