Elmira L. Wray, 90, of Mount Union, departed her earthly home on January 19, 2026, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon Hospital. Born November 6, 1935, in Mapleton Depot, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Hooper) and Rhudolph Price. Elmira attended Captain Jack High School and spent much of her life as a homemaker, working part-time for Star-Brite Cleaning Services until her retirement. Elmira is survived by her five children, Rick Sheeder and wife, Ramona; Amber Henry and husband Gary; Brian Sheeder, Autumn House, and Heather Brindle; two granddaughters, Shannon Gahagan and husband, Dan; Bria Shubert and husband, Jason; four grandsons, Bunsie Reck and wife, Jimi, Brandon Felton, Alec Brindle, Colby Brindle and partner, Kristin Steele; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was united in marriage to James Sheeder, who preceded her in death, and later married Harvey Wray, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wray was a devout Christian and member of the Allenport United Methodist Church. She could often be found reading her Bible. She also enjoyed planting flowers in her flowerbed, watching and feeding the beautiful birds, visiting her friends on Greene Street, and doing crossword puzzles, At Elmira’s request there will be no services.
