Obituary

Edwin D. Fisher, 87, Allenport, passed away on June 7, 2026, at the Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born October 27, 1938, son of the late Charles and Hazel (Stevens) Fisher. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marlene (Miller) Fisher; son, Shawn Fisher; grandson, Adam Fisher; four sisters, Joyce Fisher, Bonita Fisher, Dolly (Fisher) Wakefield, Jayne (Fisher) Grier; two brothers, Sam Fisher and Fred Fisher; and one niece, Lisa Fisher. Mr. Fisher is survived by sister, Gloria Tress of Mount Union; brother, Craig Fisher of Colona, IL; daughter-in-law, Faye Fisher; two sisters-in-laws, Cora Fisher of Allenport and Aggie Fisher of Williamsport; and many nieces and nephews. Edwin was a faithful member of Allenport United Methodist Church. He and his wife served as House Parents at Milton S. Hershey School, a role that reflected his caring nature and commitment to helping young people succeed. Prior to Milton Hershey, he was employed by Harbison-Walker Brickyard. An exceptionally talented woodworker, Edwin took great pride in his craftsmanship and earned numerous ribbons and awards for his creations. Whether working on special projects or creating keepsakes, his attention to detail and love for the craft were evident in every piece he made. Among his greatest passions was his beloved 1946 Ford Coupe. He enjoyed restoring, maintaining, and showing off the classic car, which brought him countless hours of enjoyment and many cherished memories. Friends and family will be received Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 – 12:00 in the Heath- Anderson Funeral Home with a service at 12:00, Pastor Faith Anderson, officiant. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Allenport United Methodist Church, 14089 2nd St, Mount Union PA, 17066.
