Dorothy Moore McCreary, 85, Mount Union, entered her final eternal resting place on June 18, 2026, after a lengthy battle of dementia. Born on Ganister Hill, Mount Union, on May 22, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John Harry Moore and Frances Elizabeth Horne. Dot was raised by the late Nin Smuda. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy K. Feathers, Sr., in 1992, and her late husband, Dennis D. McCreary, in 2012. She was also preceded in death by infant son; brothers, Raymond Moore, Harry Moore, Fred Moore; sisters, Helen Neil, Gladys Detwiler, and Mildred Moore. Dot is survived by brother, Charles (Pat) Moore of Honey Brook. Surviving children are Roy K. Feathers (Lee) of Three Springs, Jeffrey A. Feather (Christine) of Mount Union, Duane L. Feathers (Natalie) of Mount Union; grandchildren, Kristen Mills, Krisha Feathers (Jenna), Jeffrey Feather (Rachel), Katelynn Feather (Josh), Caden Feather, Ashley Caufield (Jesse); great-grandchildren, Alivia, Emma, Baileigh, Jax, Averick, Xander, Ryatt, Bryce, Avery, Caleb, Colin, Ethan, Aidan. Dot attended the Grace Community Church of Mount Union before becoming ill. She loved attending football and baseball games, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, and going to the casino. She absolutely loved listening and dancing to music; one favorite was Chris Woodward. Dot always had a beautiful smile and was loved by many. She enjoyed running around with her best friends, Sharon, Pat, Donna, and June. Her caregivers for many years were Heidi and Jessica. Dot loved these ladies like her own kids. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 - 12:00 in the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home with a service at 12:00, Rev. Danny Neff, officiant. Burial to follow at Mount Union Borough Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or Susan G.
