Klemstine, Dorothy (Davis), 96, Cresson, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Nov. 24, 2017. Born Sept. 5, 1921, in Cresson Twp., daughter of the late Charles J. Sr. and A. Bernadette (Eckenrod) Davis. Preceded in death by husband of 48 years, Julius F. Klemstine; son, Joseph P.; sisters, Teresa Nagle and Helen Wilson; and brother, Charles J. Davis Jr. Last surviving member of immediate family. Survived by children: Charles F. (Marian Conrad), Ann Arbor, Mich., Dorothy J., Camp Hill; William J. (Teresa Oliver), Pittsburgh; Anneliese M., Cresson; Sally A., Cresson; and Joan L., Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren: David(Jennifer); Kelly (Alex) DeMots; and Allison Biser; and great-grandchildren: Madeline and Simon DeMots; and Emma and Nolan Klemstine. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She graduated from Cresson High School in 1939.Worked at C.A. Hughes Company for many years, where she met her soon to be husband, Julius. Secretary at St. Aloysius Grade School for twelve years. Former auditor for Cresson Township, and former census taker for Penn Cambria School District. Member of St. Aloysius Parish, Cresson, and auxiliary member of its Legion of Mary. Member of C.D. of A., Court Joan of Arc, Cresson. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Vigil for the deceased will be held during viewing hours. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Church, Rev. Matthew Reese. Committal, church cemetery. www.cmkennedyfh.com
