Shields, Donald, 72, Shirleysburg, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at his residence. Born June 27, 1952, son of the late Kenneth E. Shields and Helen L. (Wharton) Thomas. Survived by his siblings, Charles Shields, Kenneth W. Shields, and Peggy Lightner. Preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Shields. Donald graduated from Mount Union Area School District, class of 1970. He went on to serve in the United States Army and worked as a lineman for Henkels and McCoy for 30 years before retirement. Donald enjoyed working on old cars, especially Corvettes. He enjoyed a good beer and spending time with family and friends.
