Long, Delores W. (Wakefield) “Red”, 93, Huntingdon, passed away Saturday August 24, 2024, at Westminster Woods. Born August 7, 1931, Mapleton, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Conway) Wakefield. Preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Max” Long; and siblings, Dora, Phyllis, Kathy, Betty, Richard, Russell, and George. Survived by her children, Pamella Hess and husband, Mark; Christine Dimoff and husband, Victor; David Long and wife, Rivan (Hoover); Lynda Cashner and husband, Fred; Michael Long and wife, Jennifer (Hammond); 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Patricia Reck and husband, Dave; and Terry Thompson. Mrs. Long enjoyed BINGO, bowling, and doing embroidery. She was known among her family for her delicious peanut brittle, fudge and acini de pepe soup. Mrs. Long loved to watch gameshows and westerns. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Friday August 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, Joseph Barrett, officiant. Interment to follow at Mount Union Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
