David J. Seymour, Sr.

Seymour, David J., Sr., 73, Lilly, went home to be with the Lord August 28, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born April 22, 1946, Cresson, son of the late Paul J. and Rita E. (Washington) Seymour. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernadette M. (Cassidy); nephews, Matthew Seymour and Ritchie Duron; sister-in-law, Dolores Seymour; and son-in-law, Ralph Tressler. Survived by his children, Renee McClosky (Edward), Galltizin; David Jr. (Shannon), East Point, MI; Jessica Tressler, Meyersdale; nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol “Sue” Moyer (Robert), Portage; Alice Weiland (Ed), Industry; Patti Duron (Richard) and Mary Seymour, all of Cresson; brothers, Paul Seymour, Lilly; Raymond “Buck” (Susuan), Cresson; and James (Patty) Seymour, Altoona. David was a graduate of Cresson Joint High School where he played football. He was a US Army veteran and was also trained by the Air Force as a signal repairman. David attended Penn State University where he obtained a certificate in Environmental Safety. David was a Secretary/Treasurer for the Greater Beneficial Union of Pittsburgh (GBU), Safety foreman for Mine 33, and an EMT. David was a member of the Lilly American Legion Post 628. Friends will be received Friday, August 30, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Kennedy-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10 a.m., Deacon Sam Albarano, celebrant. Military honors provided by the Lilly American Legion. Interment St. Brigid Cemetery, Lilly.
