Linn, David R., 78, Newton Hamilton, passed away Thursday August 28, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Born July 11, 1947, Huntingdon, son of the late Clarence “Rusty” and Beatrice (May) Linn. Survived by his loving wife, Cinda G. (Myers) Linn. Also survived by daughters, Heather Worthy and husband, Mike; and Michele Jones and husband, Brian; 2 grandchildren, Katelyn Gutshall and husband, Josh; and Jaden Kester; 3 great grandchildren, Hadlee, Ax, and Nash; and a brother, Terry Linn. Mr. Linn was a 1965 graduate of Captain Jack High School in Mount Union. Following school, he honorably served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed at the Harbison Walker Brick Yard and Jim’s Anchorage as a boat mechanic before being self-employed with Dave Linn’s Garage. He was a past member of the Newton Wayne Fire Company and enjoyed working on and restoring old cars. Most of all he loved to spend time with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service with military honors on Wednesday September 3, 2025, at 11:15 a.m. at the Newton Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
