David H. Gunter, 82, Mount Union, PA, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2026. Born April 18, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Davis) Gunter. In addition to his parents Mr. Gunter was preceded in death by daughter Karen Suders and son-in-law Don Suders, and 6 sisters and 1 brother. David was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Gunter is survived by his loving wife, Nina (Appold) Gunter. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gunter is survived by sons Jon (Jennifer) Gunter of Pasadena, MD, James (Zoey) Gunter of Red Lion, PA, Jeff (Charolotte) Gunter of Littlestown, PA; grandchildren, Brittany, Matt, Gabby, Logan, Norah; great-grandchildren, Kira, Beckham, Gwen. David served in the United States Navy, where he earned an Honorable discharge. During his lifetime David was employed as a machinist at JLG and TB Woods, where he later retired. In his free time, you would often find him hunting, fly fishing and camping. David adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them. At Mr. Gunter’s request there will be no services.
