Hockenbery, Darlene C. (Wilson), 78, Mount Union, passed away Monday October 21, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Born January 11, 1946, Huntingdon, daughter of the late Lehman and Iva (Rutter) Wilson. Preceded in death by her husband, John “Danny” Hockenberry; and siblings, Carl “Jack” Wilson and Janet Wilson Nead. Survived by her daughters, Sue Miller and Jean Hockenberry and companion, Brian Miller; 3 grandsons, John Daniel Parys, John Clayton Miller and Allen Michael Miller; 3 great granddaughters, Chloe Parys, Zara Rogers and Zayla Rogers; and siblings, Ronald Wilson and wife, Sandra; and Linda Wilson North. Darlene enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors. She was known to support local groups and loved attending gun raffles. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandsons and great granddaughters. Family and friends will be received on Thursday October 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Shirleysburg.
