Ellenberger, Charles “Jake” M. Jr., 71, Mill Creek, passed away December 29, 2019. Born July 26, 1948, Huntingdon, son of the late Charles and Nora (Dell) Ellenberger. Survived by his loving wife Karen Sue (Wagner); sons, Charles III “Tyke” and wife, Dawn, Maryland; Scott “Booger” and wife, Josie, Manor Hill; daughter, Sierra and husband, Nathan, Strodes Mills; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Daisy Covert; Judy Ellenberger; and Nancy Ellis and husband Jerry; step-father, Mervin Bowser. Charles was a 1967 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. Charles worked at Bonney Forge for 37 years and retired in January 2014. He was a member of the Blue Juniata VFW in Mount Union. Charles was a member of various bowling leagues. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, coaching softball and camping. Charles was a big Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor George Baird and Tyler Covert, co-officiants. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
