Catherine R. Peck

Catherine “Kay” Rhuhama (Griffith) Peck, 80, Greenbriar Crossover, McVeytown, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born July 10, 1941, Reedsville, daughter of the late Robert Nelson and Rosie Pauline (Weaver) Griffith. Survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Peck whom she was united in marriage to on July 14, 1959. Also surviving are two daughters, Carol Sipes and husband, Jeff; Janet Shields and husband, Eddie, all of McVeytown; 2 granddaughters, Chassidy Matthews and husband, Brandon and Christina King and companion, Jason; 5 great grandchildren, Makayla, Sage, Easton, Harley, and Curtis. Kay is also survived by her siblings, Gary Griffith and wife, Mary; Nelson Griffith and wife, Deb; Kenneth Griffith and wife, Mary Lou, all of McVeytown; Sue Walters and husband, Russell of Annville, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister, Helen Robertson, Bocova, VA. Kay was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales and spending time with her family. Kay also liked to take car rides and hikes through the mountains with her husband—she was especially fond of the views and skies full of fall clouds. She attended the Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church where she met her husband years ago. At the request of the deceased there will be no services.
