Holtry, Carolyn Joan (Shore), 88, Orbisonia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 19, 2025, at Juniper Village at Wellspring in State College. Born September 15, 1936, Maddensville, daughter of the late Ira Sr. and Elizabeth (Snyder) Shore. Preceded in death by her husband, Hull Holtry; and siblings, Ira Shore Jr., Floyd Shore, Richard Shore, and Nina Roher; and a niece, Deborah Shore. Survived by nieces and nephews, Jeff Shore, Jerone Shore, Mark Holtry, Angela Roher, and Stan Roher. Also survived by her beloved pets, Bandit and Fannie. Joan enjoyed flowers and was a past member of a garden club. She loved her pets and cared for any creature she found in distress. She loved to eat out, socialize and spend time with family. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday March 25, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Wednesday March 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
