Thiery, Carol A., 89, Cresson, formerly of Shamokin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at her house. Born January 28, 1937, Wyandotte, Michigan, daughter of the late Glenard and Laura May (McLeod) Neifert. Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Thiery. Carol is survived by her children, Joan Thiery, Mary Mitterando, and Glenard Malcom; grandsons, Andrew and Steven Mitterando; and a brother, Glenard Neifert. She also leaves behind her 2 beloved cats, Mitzie and Small Fry. Carol was a devoted mother and dedicated herself to raising her children and taking care of her home. She found happiness in her spare time by playing board games, completing puzzle books, and watching movies. She also loved being outdoors and enjoying nature. Most importantly, Carol cherished spending time with her family. At the family’s request, there will be no services.
