Obituary

Baum, Beverly J., 79, Nanty Glo, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. Born July 17, 1946, Altoona, daughter of the late William Luther and Virginia Mae (Markle) Zitsch. Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband, Frederick John Baum. Also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Baum; son-in-law; Jeffrey Lundberg; a beloved cousin, Marylou; and her best friend, Diane. Survived by her sister, Joan; daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Dylan (Kayla) and Garrett (Shayleen); great-grandchildren, Kaci, Braiden, Jakob, Drew, Dustin, Hannah, Anastasia, Deklen, Jensen, Maddie, and Jackson; and the girls she considered her bonus children, Jessie (Chuck) and Leann. Beverly worked at a shoe factory before pursuing her career as an LPN. She worked as an LPN for many years before having children and becoming a stay-at-home mother. Beverly was a woman of faith and found great purpose as a former member of the Legion of Mary at St. Aloysius. In her spare time, Beverly loved to sew, read, and listen to music, especially her favorite artist, Barry Manilow. She was also known to have a special bond with her beloved cat, Simon, who she enjoyed spoiling with affection. Most of all, Beverly cherished spending time with her family. Family and friends will be received Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., at the funeral home, with a service time at 5:30 p.m., Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Private burial at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Cresson.
