Garzarelli, Barbara A. (Wood), 67, Cresson, died Sept. 5, 2016, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana,PA. Born July 20, 1949, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of James and Ellen (Freyne) Wood. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dr. Louis F. Sr., on April 25, 2011; brother- in- law, Robert Burkett, and sister- in- law, Phyllis (Mignucci) Wood. Survived by sons: Louis F. Jr. (Tammy McCready), Indiana; Todd(Leah Lysic), Buffalo, NY; Marc(Jodie Sullivan), Ebensburg; and John (Jessica Beck), Grove City; grandchildren: Tori, Isabella and Sophia Garzarelli; Goia and Gabe Garzarelli; Marc Jr., Jarrod and Rocco Garzarelli; and Dominic and Kendra Garzarelli; siblings: Ellen Burkett, Kathleen (Joe) Canaris, James (Jake) Wood & Dennis (Mary) Wood, and in- laws: Rosalie (Albert) DiStefano, Theresa (Leonard) DiTomo, Donna Garzarelli & Fred Garzarelli. Barbara often was a lucky winner at her favorite past times, including Bingo ("let's split it"), Bunco, scratch off lottery tickets, and playing the slots at the casino. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish of Cresson. Family and friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Committal, church cemetery.
