Klein, Anne M., 96, Cresson, died Dec. 19, 2016, at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg. Born Oct. 2, 1920, in Jerome, daughter of the late Alexander and Alice (Molis) Vancavage. Preceded in death by sister, Mary; and brothers, Alex, Joseph and James; and daughter-in-law, Donna Adelson. Survived by husband, Walter, whom she married April 10, 1950; children: Dennis Adelson, Pittsburgh; Laura Klein (Stephen), East Greenwich, R.I.; Noreen Klein (Marion), Blacksburg, Va.; Mary Klein-Gill ( John), Berwyn, Pa.; Walter R. Klein (Catherine), Loveland, Ohio; Elaine Klein (Craig), Ambler, Pa.; Anita Klein (Warren), Laurel, Md.; Thomas Klein (Kari), Cornelius, N.C.; and Paul Klein (Paula), Mount Airy, Md.; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with one to be born. Sister of Helen Johnson, Lebanon; and George Vancavage, Johnstown. 1938 graduate of Portage High School. Member of St. Aloysius Parish, Cresson. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 3 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Church, Rev. Leo Arnone. Committal, St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Wilmore. Anne was first and foremost a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose selfless care for others inspired all who knew her. Her boundless energy in partnership with her devoted husband created a warm and welcoming home for her children and the many people who later became part of her family. Her creativity and artistic talent along with her willingness to take on new challenges enriched the life of her family immeasurably. Her playfulness added tremendous fun to family life.
