Alphonse J. Sorchetti

Sorichetti, Alphonse J., "DuDu", 81, Cresson, died April 2, 2017, at Maybrook Hills, Altoona. Born Feb. 15, 1936, in Altoona, son of the late Patsy Sr. and Victoria (Dombrosky) Sorichetti. Preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Choros, and brother, Anthony. Survived by wife, Amelia "Millie" (Delegram), whom he married Feb. 7, 1959; son, David, Altoona; grandsons, Anthony and Andrew Choros, and Rowen Sorichetti; siblings: Patsy Jr. (Carol), Altoona; Roseann Murray (Bill), Ohio; Robert, Lilly; and Charlene Stahuras (Ed), Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired as a guard from Cambria County Prison. Liked to fish and hunt, and was a life member of Cresson Sportsman's Club. Friends received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Leo Arnone. Committal, church cemetery. www.cmkennedyfh.com
