Alan M. Hobbs Jr.

Hobbs, Alan M. Jr., 66, Mount Union, passed away July 7, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Born January 17, 1956, son of the late Alan M. Hobbs Sr. and Shirley (Reed) Hobbs. Survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Gerholt) Hobbs; children, Derrick Hobbs and wife, Rose; Dana Parson and husband, Barry; and Jodi Riley; 4 grandchildren, Madilyn Parson, Hannah Parson, Konnor Riley and Quinn Riley; siblings, Rodney Hobbs and wife, Teresa; Marty Hobbs and companion, Barb; Vona Hobbs; and Lori Rossainzz and husband, Gabriel. Alan was a 1973 graduate of Mount Union Area High School. He worked as a roofer with JM Young & Sons Inc. Alan enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley with his wife. He was also a NASCAR fan and rooted for Kevin Harvick. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends—especially his grandchildren who were his world. Family and friends will be received on Monday July 11, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday July 12, 2022, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Atkinson Mills Cemetery.
