Thomas "Tom" D. Porter

Porter, Thomas D. “Tom”, 39, Mount Union, passed away October 17, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 5, 1980, Winchester, VA, son of Edward “Dewey” and Janice (Gahagen) Porter. He was married to the former Shalon Heaster, October 31,2010, in Mill Creek. Preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Ray and Arlene Beatty; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Dee Porter; aunt, Raylene Forlines; and father-in-law, Dennis Heaster. Survived by his mother; wife; children, Jackson, Dylan, Tristan and Londyn Porter; sister, April Statler and husband, Edgar; niece Marissa and husband, Johnny; nephew, Ethan; great-nephew, Madrox; mother-in-law, Karen; a brother-in-law; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tom enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, mother, and friends. He loved working with the clients and employees of IFC Services. Tom also enjoyed listening to music and playing the drums and was an avid fan of the TV show, The Walking Dead and Street Outlaws. Tom was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m., Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Pastor James Taylor and Pastor Lawrence Beatty, co-officiants. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to help the family defer funeral expenses.
