Naugle, Raymond Eugene “Pete”, 81, Mount Union, passed away November 12, 2019 at Mount Nittany Hospital with his family by his side. Born at home on October 20, 1938 in Mount Union, son of the late Raymond Zane and Madeline Annie (Swope) Naugle. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Hulda Louise (Love) Naugle; grandson, Nelson Raymond Baker; and brother-in-law, Terry Fix. Survived by his sister, Madelyn Fix, Bedford; six daughters, Brenda Kay Cummins and husband, Bertis, Spring Mills; Donna Rae Naugle and partner, Terry Mohney, Gilbert, Arizona; Josie Mae Park and husband, Ralph Park, Mount Union; Lucinda Faye Naugle, Roswell, Georgia; Lisa Gay Beeler, Mount Union; and Ronda Jaye Buker, Peoria, Arizona; grandchildren, Alesha, Gregory, Rachel, Chelsea, Emily, Samantha, Bertis Aaron, Brenton, Colson and Cassidy; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Collin, Lilly, Hazel, Sophie and Retta. Pete’s professional career included sales and maintenance supervisory roles with various clothing manufacturers. He retired from Huntingdon State Correctional Institution in 2003. Pete will be remembered as a stern, but devoted father, who raised his six girls to be honest, kind and independent with a family-first approach to life. A self-made man, Pete combined his vast knowledge and expertise in renovation and restoration with his real estate interest and provided housing opportunities to local residents. Dedicated to supporting the local community, he served as a volunteer firefighter and a councilman on the Mount Union Borough. Pete was a proud member of the Free and Accepted Masons Mount Union Lodge #688, serving two terms as Worshipful Master; Valley of Harrisburg Consistory AASR, Jaffa Shrine, and the Juniata Valley Forest #88 Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was also a life-long supporter of the Republican Party. Friends and family will be received Friday, November 15, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted by the Mount Union Lodge at 5 p.m. Final visitation will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, Joe Barrett, officiant. Interment will be at the IOOF Cemetery, Rock Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
