Varner, Lawrence A. "Dutch", 58, McVeytown, passed away February 16, 2020 surrounded by his family at home. Born July 15, 1961, Trenton, NJ, son of the late Luther and Loretta (Fritsch) Varner. Survived by siblings, Luther Varner and wife, Judy; Linda Varner; Leona Peck and husband, Timothy; Leroy Varner and companion, Tracie Holder, all of McVeytown; several aunts and uncles; nieces, Loretta Maben and husband, Robert; and Sarah Varner; nephews, James Peck and wife, Amanda; Wayne Peck and wife, Penny; Daniel Peck and wife, Elizabeth; Leroy Varner Jr. and wife, Stacy; Randy Varner and wife, Danielle; and Shawn Varner and wife, Alicia; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and special friend, Lester Kreider. Lawrence was a huge fan of the Mount Union Trojans and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending to the animals on his family’s farm. Lawrence loved spending time with family and friends, especially his Aunt Mary. Lawrence made friends everywhere he went and was loved by many. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Sam Peck, officiant.
