Moore, Wilbur C., 84, Alexandria, formerly of Mount Union, passed away October 16, 2019 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon. Born December 14, 1934, Hill Valley, son of the late Glenn and Myrtle (Smith) Moore. He was married to Erma Rhodes on July 12, 1953 in Mapleton Depot until her passing in 2002. Survived by his companion, Darlene Fisher, Alexandria; children, Amber Ford and husband, Mike, Duncansville; Chris Sanders and husband, Jerry, Abbottstown; Craig Moore; and Lisa Heidel and husband, Jerry, all of Mount Union; 7 grandchildren, Shannon Harbaugh, Stephanie Allen, Alesha DeVita, Kristi Heidel, Richelle King, Ashlyn Flasher, and Lauren Hardy; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Tonya Barnhart and Connie Mumper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister, Sandra Joan Rothermel; and brothers, Richard and Glenn Moore. Wilbur worked for New Holland Machine Co. for over 20 years and was also the co-owner of Moore Well Drilling and Monroe Metal Products, Shirleysburg. He retired from Marshall Erdman & Associates. Wilbur was an avid golfer and a member of the American Legion Country Club. Most importantly he was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed greatly. Friends and family will be received Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, nephew, Leroy Carbaugh, officiant. Interment Haven Rest Memorial Park.
